Men's Jewellery: Choosing Fit and Proportion
Men's jewellery feels most considered when its proportions fit the wearer. Leather bracelets, rigid bangles and necklaces differ in how they sit, move and fasten.
Leather bracelet or metal bangle?
Braided leather follows the wrist and adds texture; a rigid bangle creates a structured outline. Measure your wrist where the piece sits, then check the stated size range and closure. Open bangles still need a secure fit.
What necklace length works best?
A chain around 50 cm (20 inches) often sits near the collarbone; 55–60 cm (22–24 inches) generally falls lower. The position depends on neck size, pendant weight and neckline. Compare lengths with a necklace already worn comfortably.
How do you choose a gift?
For gifts, note the recipient's usual watch and accessories. A slim bracelet or simple pendant suits understated outfits. If wrist size is unknown, a necklace avoids some fitting uncertainty. Check the listed metal: a silver-colour finish does not always mean sterling silver.
